I do agree with Jeremy that "People don't get DNS, domain names" and those that do or try to are annoyed by www. !

I do not know if you entered here by typing e-radical.ro or www.e-radical.ro either way you will get redirected to gabriel.e-radical.ro.

This is because I think www. prefix is dead... or almost...
I get frustrated every time I need to type www. on my cell phone !

Most of the sites are redirecting: amazon.com, yahoo.com, google.com, download.com, cnn.com, qj.net, emag.ro, pcgarage.ro...

The prefix was meant as a service indicator for a domain thus FTP services were provided at ftp.example.com, web pages at www.example.com and so on ! (More at Wikipedia)

This was long time ago and it is not required by the standards it's just a subdomain !

So to all domain owners... please add support for example.com not only www.example.com.

It's a fact that all sites will live without the www. prefix... and for sure everybody will type faster on their mobiles...
